Carrie Prejean Update: California Marriage in Name Only. Marriage Versus Domestic Partnership. What’s in a Name?

Though the grasping withered hands from the depths of Hades lunged and grasped at heavenly angel Carrie Prejean, snatching and ripping away a few handfuls of clothing, her godly words were sung again like a tuning fork:

“In my country I think that a marriage should be between a man and woman.”

There you go… something a faggot and 48% of politically active Californians would never understand.

Verily, if 6.4 million registered voters out of 13.4 million valid votes on Proposition 8 in California, a paltry sum to the total of unregistered residents, believe that marriage should also be between same sex couples—California, then, is an absolute catastrophe of moral values.

Prop 8 was not a win, it was a disaster, unless the people who voted against traditional marriage were hoping for additional limiting language against same sex unions:

Marriage in the United States, whether entered into within or outside of the United States, shall consist only of the legal union of one man and one woman. Every person has the right to marry a person of the opposite sex, subject to state laws based on age and consanguinity. Neither the United States nor any State, or subdivisionthereof, shall confer any benefit, protection, right, or responsibility of marriage on unmarried couples, or groups. (cwfa.org)

That is unlikely.

Certainly, allowing same sex unions in the form of domestic partnerships in CA is the greatest absurdity that was overlooked by Prop 8 supporters like the Mormons, Roman Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, American Family Association, Focus on the Family, and Saddleback Church. These organizations were forthright in their protections of traditional marriage, but they were ultimately unintelligent in their application of it.

If the legal standing of marriage between a man and a woman in California has the exact same rights and responsibilities as same sex domestic partnerships, then what is the difference between the two? The name of "marriage".

Because of this nomenclature only difference there is a very credible argument to be made by equal rights protection for a same sex union to be a lawfully recognized "marriage", as was found by the California Supreme Court’s Wikipedia entry.

How more ridiculous will the marriage sham become? Marriage in California has become a complete joke when homosexuals have hijacked the definition of family by their lawfully blessed false unions, same rights as opposite sex married couples, rights to adopt children, etc.

How may a rationally thinking opposite sex couple genuinely believe that a California marriage is of any worth whatsoever?
